What Is The Weight Limit On The M+D Crutches?

The M+D Crutch is rated for users up to 300 lb or 136 kg.

What Is The Height Range On The M+D Crutches?

The M+D Crutch can accommodate users 4’ 11” to 6’ 8” or 1.50 m to 2.08 m.

Are There Sizing Options To Facilitate A Proper Fit Other Than The Adjustability Of The Height?

For proper fit, the handle stem is adjustable (hidden under the cradle) to match the length of the user’s forearm, allowing them to comfortably hold the handle grip.

For best fit, the elbow should be snug at the back of the cradle with no pressure on the palm or hand while holding the handle grip. There is also flexibility with the armbands.

If the default armband position (one on each side) is too tight, the user may move them to a more comfortable location (3 different armband holes on each side), remove one of the armbands, or move both to one side using only a screwdriver.

All detailed instructions are provided in a small booklet with the purchase of the crutches.

What Are The Dimensions Of The Arm Cradle? (Width, Depth, Taper, Etc. To Ensure My Arm Will Fit)

The foam pad covering the cradle is roughly 4.54″ (width) by 10.57″ (length) with extra material supporting the elbow. The cradle has a wider, more open curve near the wrist to allow for flexibility and a slightly more narrow one near the elbow for stronger support.

What is the difference between the Refurbished M+D Crutch and a brand-new set?

The Refurbished M+D Crutch can be like new, but is not new. All refurbs have been inspected, cleaned and restored to ensure they are in like-new condition. The Refurbished M+D Crutch should function as well as a brand-new pair of the M+D Crutch.

Is it hard to use the M+D Crutch?

Using the M+D Crutch feels very different than any other mobility aid. Although the pain relief to hands and wrists, as well as the improvement in posture is immediate for most, it takes a bit of time to get used to walking with the aid of a new device. The learning curve to adopting the M+D Crutch is different for each person depending on their level of mobility, balance, coordination and upper body strength. You can learn more about what to expect from you M+D Crutches here or you can email us or give us a call to discuss your concerns.
